Harbor City International School is hiring paraprofessionals who are compassionate, consistent and patient to support our special education students in the classroom with their academic goals. Duties:
● In conjunction with the classroom teacher and case managers, the paraprofessional is responsible for providing assistance and support to students within the parameters of the students’ individual education plan (IEP). This could include academic or behavioral support and assisting in developmental life skills.
● With guidance from case managers and general education teachers, the paraprofessional is also responsible for reading, understanding, and implementing supports and accommodations for the students from the IEP.
● This position will also support special education teachers in observation, data collection, classroom assistance, and records management.
● The paraprofessional duties could include a 1-1 assignment, being in a variety of different classrooms, and/or work with multiple students in different grade levels throughout the day.

● High school diploma required plus 2 years college, AA degree or equivalent OR taking the ParaPro assessment with passing score.
● BA, BS or similar preferred.
