Student Support Specialist
Deliver theory and evidence based intervention to individuals in accordance with the needs and goals identified in IEPs, 504 plans, and other student intervention plans (ex. academic check in’s and support with organization and other executive functioning skills)

Provide responsive services for crisis and emerging situational and behavioral issues

Serve as a liaison between families and community agencies to maximize access to appropriate support and resources

Collaborate on a Department of Student Services team providing social, emotional, and academic support for students who are struggling

Monitor and implement compliance with state and federal laws prohibiting disability discrimination by identifying, evaluating, and providing accommodations for students facing barriers to learning as the Section 504 and Child Find Coordinator

Manage dual enrollment advising, summer school coordination, semester scheduling, individual graduation path planning, and help with postsecondary guidance
Bachelor's degree in a related field (counseling, psychology, social work).
