ACT College Entrance Exam
Welcome to the HCIS Guidance and Counseling office!
If you were not able to make it to the financial literacy night, Mr. Dave Sutherland, financial aid director at FDLT&CC, used this presentation as a tool to help guide you through answering the question "How do I pay for college?"
Dear HCIS Families,
One of the many benefits of a smaller school is that we are able to connect with each student and provide personal guidance based on individual needs. Starting in ninth grade, the student and I create a four-year plan on paper. This visual often helps make graduation a reality and is a good tool when setting goals for personal and academic success. We visit this plan each semester and make changes as necessary. We will do college visits, career days, hands-on experiences, scholarship evenings, financial aid evenings, practice college entrance exams, and many more events to best prepare your student for success in their next journey. I look forward to working with you and your student. Please don't hesitate to stop in or e-mail with any questions or suggestions.
Mrs. Tricia Neubarth
Base Camp Advisory happens Monday, Tuesday, and Friday each week. Not only do students hear announcements during this time, they have an opportunity to connect with staff regarding academic advising. Staff members are also able to support and encourage in a one-on-one conversation. We encourage students needing additional support in specific classes to attend after school homework lab.
For more information regarding our academic advisement services, please contact Tricia Neubarth.
